If you feel like you’ll never be happy and nothing could ever make you happy, you need shadow work. You need to dig into that shadow and explore why you are unhappy. Give the shadow a purpose. Give it a reason for existence. Embrace it. Love it. Love that is has served it’s purpose and gotten you here.
You don’t do shadow work to just live in the shadow, you do it to move forward and spend more time in the light. The shadow isn’t a place you want to be stuck in. It’s a place where you want to be able to move freely in, to be able to go between light and dark without resistance.
So if you feel like you’re stuck in a cloud, like you just can’t figure out how to love yourself, or how to move forward, how to change your life, it’s time to did into the shadow with a purpose.
If you’re just living there every day, you haven’t done the work yet.
If you spend more time hiding bits and pieces of yourself, than you do simply living, you haven’t’ done the work yet.
If you feel like you’ll never be happy and nothing could ever make you happy, you haven’t done the work yet.
You need to give the darkness a purpose. You need to give it meaning and make use of it. Embrace your shadow aspects so that you can spend more time enjoying the pleasures of life. The more often you go explore your shadow, the easier it will be to return to the light. The more shadow work you do, the more the resistance to it, the fear, shame, and guilt around it fall away. Love your shadow because it’s yours and it’s gotten you are. Your shadow is part of your story, so do not try to hide it. But do not let the shadow be the last of your story.
