Today I’m trying out a new style of artwork as a colored pencil artist. It’s not a totally different style, it’s simply a way to combine the skills I’ve gained as a digital artist, with my skills as a pencil artist.
I started testing out the digital medium because I just couldn’t get the results I wanted with my colored pencils. So I turned to Photoshop and my Wacom tablet to get the vibrant colors, and glowing outlines. But while I was driving one day, I thought what if I took what I’d learned and put it to paper now.
So I’m giving it a try today with my favorite paper, Lux Archival by Brush and Pencil, and my favorite pencils, Faber-Castell Polychromos.
