Follow Your Intuition, Not the Rule Book

I’ve recently started a reset group with some other spiritual creatives and I feel that these messages need to be shared with more people. Whether we’re doing a Reset with USANA or not, we can be mindful of this message.

Don’t do weight loss or restriction. This is about connecting the mind and body. Listen to your body about what to eat. Don’t follow the written directions provided in your Reset kit if they don’t feel good to you. Follow your body instead. Listen to it, it is very powerful and knows what you need.

Your job is about cleaning your body up so that you can listen. It requires getting quiet, listening for the subtle messages that come through. Don’t question these voices. It may come through as a whisper, as a feeling in your body or you may see an image of what you are meant to eat and drink. However, the message comes is ok, as long as you are feeling good in your body.

Use this reset as a guide, but not as rule. Take your vitamins, drink the shakes and probiotics. These provide the nutrients you need to make wise decisions. This is a process, don’t feel bad or guiltily if one day you decide you really need to eat some fries. If that is the message from your soul, follow it. If it is from your ego, ask it why. Why do you need fries? Is it to celebrate? To numb? To cope with stress? If so, ask what you really need. To write? Draw? Meditate? Find new ways to cope, to work through the shadows and new ways to celebrate.

Celebrate every day, for every decision you take your by your intuition, celebrate in the name of intuition. Do not show anger towards yourself when you follow your ego. You can always choose again. Celebrate the success, the joy, do not punish the fear, or the disappointment.

You are human. It is your right to chose and your right to choose again.
Enjoy your time. Listen to your body. This is a practice we will use all week and beyond.

My Morning Routine; Part 2: Smoothies

I love smoothies. It’s a quick way to get tons of fruit and veggies in quickly in the morning. Absolutely my wake-up juice. I don’t really like eating anything early in the morning, but juice, bring it on! I’ve been loving my smoothies so much that I’ve even added them to my nightly routine lately.

I love my chocolate cherry smoothie. That’s my go-to, though during the summer I try to branch out and add in some other flavors. If I’m sick or feel it coming on, I’ll change it up too. I can’t tell you how many bags of frozen fruit I’ve gone through! I seem to be buying them every other week. Just think of all the nutrients you could be getting into your body in a quick, tasty way.

Sometimes I’ll add a few things like Fibergy to my smoothie or a little protein powder if I need an extra boost. The fruit and veggies have a lot, but if I feel like I need to detox or am super hungry, I’ll add these to it. They are great products, so the flavor doesn’t change much.

I was first introduced to smoothies through Simple Green Smoothies. While I had tried plenty before, these were the first ones I actually loved. This is a great place to start if you want to begin your day with a large serving of fruits and veggies.

My Morning Routine; Part 1: CellSentials

This is going to be a series, starting with CellSentials, sharing my morning routine with you all. I think it’s super important to share this because for the longest time I didn’t think that I could have a morning routine. I have two kids and they are always up before I am. So any time I’ve tried to set a morning routine where I wake up alone, journal, meditate, and basically just start my day by myself, it hasn’t happened.

I was frustrated and finally gave up on the idea. One day it finally hit me that I’ve been creating my routine. It may not look like others’ routines, but its a set of things that I do every day. Some days it doesn’t start the instant I wake up, some days it’s in a different order, but these things happen all of the days now. I wouldn’t want to do it any other way. (ok, I would love some mornings that are totally my own, but since that probably won’t happen for some years, I’ll take what I can get!)

How could I start the day without my vitamins?! These are like magick! Magick little pills that give me energy, motivation and desire to do things! There’s a ton of science that backs them up, don’t worry, but seriously it feels like magic some days. If I don’t do anything else good for my body during the day, I make sure I do this. There are of course days when I don’t get to meditate or go for a run, or I don’t eat all of the healthy things, but this is a non-negotiable. It happens every single day.

These are where I get my energy, my motivation to do my work.

CellSentials Are Where It All Began

Once I began taking these supplements, I began to feel my energy and passion coming back. Once my energy began to come back to my body, I began to feel that spark of life again. Getting outside more helped me feel amazing, I met new friends, I started to exercise, I began to learn my Angel Cards, and I created this business.

Without CellSentials none of this would have happened. You better believe I do not miss a day with these.

It takes a while to build a habit, so there was a while when I would forget somedays. If I miss them I know by noon that I’ve forgotten my supplements though because I’m exhausted. I was falling asleep at my desk and that would remind me to go take them. Now that it’s been part of my routine for so long, I don’t forget.

What is your #1 non-negotiable to get your day started?

Come back next week for part 2!

My Top 5 Reasons to Love USANA

1. Dr. Wentz created USANA with an already impressive resume.

Dr. Myron Wentz created USANA because he saw there was a need for a quality product to promote healthful living. He had already had a fulfilling, and impressive career before starting USANA. He is an immunologist, with such achievements as creating the first test for Epstein-Barr virus and receiving the Albert Einstein Award, along with the creation of USANA and the Sanoviv Medical Institute for holistic health. Wentz’s life “mission [is] to help people live healthier lives through scientific research, advanced nutritional products, cutting-edge medical facilities, and progressive humanitarian work.” (Wentz)

“I dream of a world free from the pain and suffering of degenerative disease. Share my vision. Love life and live it to its fullest in happiness and health.”  —Dr. Myron Wentz,

That is a mission I can stand behind.

2. Team USANA – If it’s good enough for an Olympian, it’s good enough for me to chase my kids!

Team USANA has over 2000 athletes on their team! These are football players, Olympians, skaters, skiers, boxers and more. They are all dedicated to their health because they need to be in top shape for performance. Without their health, they wouldn’t be able to compete on the levels that they do. How many times have you seen an athlete under allegations of taking illegal substances? Many supplements have been contaminated and as such some athletes worry about taking any supplement at all. USANA offers their Athlete Guarantee Program which will pay out up to $1 million if an athlete tests positive for any illegal substances due to one of their products. Not once has that been done.

3. No fillers mean more vitality for you

There are many supplements to choose from on the market. I know it’s confusing. I’ve been there, looking at multiple products and wondering which one is the best for me. So many of those have all kinds of fillers. Fillers that don’t allow for proper absorption, which means you’re not getting the nutrients your body craves. I don’t worry about that with USANA.

4. Third party testing gave USANA the Gold Standard Rating

USANA health sciences got the Nutri-Search Goal 5-Star Standard in multiple countries. This 3rd-party company of scientists tests over 1600 supplements on the market in 17 different categories. USANA ranked the best in all categories. That’s a fantastic rating. After having tested them out myself, I knew that they worked, but it was still a concern of mine before I joined the company. What if I thought they were working, but they really weren’t? Third-party testing though sealed the deal! This book of all the supplements out there, reassures me that I I made the best choice and am protecting my health to the best of my ability.

5. Last but not least…

They work! All the science in the world couldn’t make me continue using something unless it actually works. And this does! My best self comes through more often! I spend less time depressed, more time having fun. I have the energy to do things I love. I am inspired by the badass women on my team. The beauty of the world inspires me and gets me to create from it. Without these supplements, I shudder to think what my life would be like right now.
Now you know why I trust USANA so much! It’s a company based on scientific research, and holistic health with the vision of living your life to it’s fullest! If you would like to learn even more, let’s chat! Leave a comment below, send a message or book a time for us to chat using the link below.
How I found Supplementation through USANA

How I found Supplementation and found freedom from Depression, Part 1

This is the story of how I found USANA and MOMspired and why they have become products I can’t recommend enough!

I first heard about USANA in a group coaching program. I was part of the program to recover from postpartum depression and to rediscover me. It was listed as a good resource in the back of the workbook and you can be sure I read that thing front to back many times. I couldn’t live depressed any longer. So I started asking questions about the USANA supplements. I started reading a book she also recommended (A Mind of Your Own). I started off by saying I wanted nothing to do with the business. I made that clear. I just wanted to try something to stop the depression and I don’t believe in medication, so the answer lies in diet, supplementation, and lifestyle.

It’s difficult to get all necessary vitamins from your food even when you eat a well-balanced diet, so I knew this was worth a shot to do in combination with green smoothies. I had to find something. I was desperate to feel better.

I ordered a one month supply of many different USANA supplements that were recommended. The laughable part is that I couldn’t take pills at the time. They had to be crushed into applesauce or juice. I had ordered a bunch of pills, knowing that I was agreeing to twice a day crushing, soaking, stirring and drinking pills in shot glasses! My twice-daily shots tasted awful. But it was worth it and I was willing to do what it took to feel better. Within the first week, I could feel the difference. It is hard to describe the relief, the excitement, the freedom that came along with this box of pills.

By the end of the month, I knew that I had to continue these supplements. When my supply ran out, I started to feel tired again (oh, did I mention the energy that I felt when I was taking them!) I also knew I couldn’t keep this to myself. I had to share this with people. I already believe that eating healthier improves mood, now I knew that boosting yourself with supplements did even more. How many people can I help by sharing my experiences?

I got curious. I joined an intro call with the woman who ran Momspired and I was sold. The vibe these women have is so magnetic. You can’t help yourself, you just want to hang out with them and learn more! I left the call knowing that I wanted to join as soon as possible.

P.S. I got sick of making vitamin shots and learned how to take pills. No more soaking pills for me!

P.P.S. MOMspired is what the team was called when I joined. Since then, we’ve transitioned into the Luscious Life Design team.

*I am not a doctor and these supplements aren’t guaranteed to cure you of depression. This is my story and they helped me along with lifestyle changes. I fully believe that supplementation is necessary and if you would like more info from a Doctor on why check out the book “A Mind of Your Own.”
