Falcon - Card #8

The Making of: The Falcon, Card #8

I want to tell you the story of how I create each of my cards. Think of this as my Guidebook to my personal deck of cards. As I create new ones, I’ll share more stories. You’ve got at least 22 weeks of stories coming your way, one each week. The majority of my cards are created in Inktense pencils on watercolor paper and these are their creation stories.

The Falcon

Trust your instincts. Feel it in your body, notice how you feel with each choice, each opportunity. Get crystal clear on your vision, on what you desire. Once you make your choice, commit, fully dive into it and experience every moment. Know you’re on the right track.

The Inspiration and meaning of this Card

This is one of my earliest cards. I wasn’t taking notes on each one as I went then, but I know how often falcons fly around here. I know that animals come to me as I’m driving in real life and in visions while I sleep. Falcons are signs of needing to step back, look at the full picture, each of the options. The part that has stood out to me, is seeing that they are a sign of feeling into your body – the emotions and feels that come up when making a decision.
I’ve created this card with my Inktense pencils. While many of these cards are quick, one layer drawings, I took more time with this one. It’s several layers with drying time in-between. Sometimes it’s nice to take a little extra time with a card because I love the process and because animal portraits are my favorite!

Tiger Card - #6

The Making of: The Tiger – Card #6

I want to tell you the story of how I create each of my cards. Think of this as my Guidebook to my personal deck of cards. As I create new ones, I’ll share more stories. The Tiger
Never Fear Passion and Power

Now is not time to run from your desires. Turn around, face them head-on. You must remain focused on these goals as they will produce abundance. Create a sacred space where you can go alone in order to recharge and refocus on these goals. The passion and power that arises from that recharge will last awhile. This is a new adventure, it’s not to be feared even if it makes you tremble. What you most desire is just on the other side of that energy, when you step into the flow, you’ll create space for your desires.

The Inspiration of this Card

In my dream I was running down a wooded road. As I ran, there was a tiger on the side of the road. It surprised me, and then it began coming after me. I was surprised by the tiger, and while I was afraid, it didn’t seem to stop me, the fear didn’t seem to be coming from the tiger itself, more like from my own abilities and desires.
The dreams that are incredibly vivid to me are the ones that I write down and remember for awhile. These are the ones that carry the most meaning for me, which is why I look into the meaning of it and turn them into cards. Dreams let us work through things, but also let us open more to our clairvoyant natures.

The Meaning of the Tiger

Tigers are symbols of courage and personal willpower. Which tells me that by running away from the Tiger in my dream, I’ve been afraid of what I’m capable of. I’ve been running from success, running from the messages I could be receiving, and running from my desires.
