This is the story of how I found USANA and MOMspired and why they have become products I can’t recommend enough!
I first heard about USANA in a group coaching program. I was part of the program to recover from postpartum depression and to rediscover me. It was listed as a good resource in the back of the workbook and you can be sure I read that thing front to back many times. I couldn’t live depressed any longer. So I started asking questions about the USANA supplements. I started reading a book she also recommended (A Mind of Your Own). I started off by saying I wanted nothing to do with the business. I made that clear. I just wanted to try something to stop the depression and I don’t believe in medication, so the answer lies in diet, supplementation, and lifestyle.
It’s difficult to get all necessary vitamins from your food even when you eat a well-balanced diet, so I knew this was worth a shot to do in combination with green smoothies. I had to find something. I was desperate to feel better.
I ordered a one month supply of many different USANA supplements that were recommended. The laughable part is that I couldn’t take pills at the time. They had to be crushed into applesauce or juice. I had ordered a bunch of pills, knowing that I was agreeing to twice a day crushing, soaking, stirring and drinking pills in shot glasses! My twice-daily shots tasted awful. But it was worth it and I was willing to do what it took to feel better. Within the first week, I could feel the difference. It is hard to describe the relief, the excitement, the freedom that came along with this box of pills.
By the end of the month, I knew that I had to continue these supplements. When my supply ran out, I started to feel tired again (oh, did I mention the energy that I felt when I was taking them!) I also knew I couldn’t keep this to myself. I had to share this with people. I already believe that eating healthier improves mood, now I knew that boosting yourself with supplements did even more. How many people can I help by sharing my experiences?
I got curious. I joined an intro call with the woman who ran Momspired and I was sold. The vibe these women have is so magnetic. You can’t help yourself, you just want to hang out with them and learn more! I left the call knowing that I wanted to join as soon as possible.
P.S. I got sick of making vitamin shots and learned how to take pills. No more soaking pills for me!

*I am not a doctor and these supplements aren’t guaranteed to cure you of depression. This is my story and they helped me along with lifestyle changes. I fully believe that supplementation is necessary and if you would like more info from a Doctor on why check out the book “A Mind of Your Own.”
